Measures - 37mm x 19mm x 5mm
Libyan Gold Tektite (Libyan Desert Glass) Formed approximately 26 million years ago (possibly from a meteoric large aerial burst), Libyan Gold is a golden coloured Tektite - which has been used by man to make tools since the Pleistocene era and also by the Pharaohs as jewellery. It was one of the stones that formed the protective scarab that was to guide King Tutankhamun on his afterlife journey.
It was often used as ritual jewellery in Egypt to bring the Sun god Ra to Earth.
